YUK YUKS COMEDY TOUR – October 5th – The Powerhouse – 7:30pm

Headliner JEFF McENERY

Jeff McEnery won the prestigious “Tim Sims Encouragement Award” in 2005, “Yuk Yuk’s Great Canadian Laugh Off” in 2006 and was named “Best Stand-Up Newcomer” at the 2007 Canadian Comedy Awards. Since then Jeff has gone on to become a headliner for Yuk Yuk’s and has made multiple appearances at every major Canadian comedy festival including the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, Winnipeg Comedy Festival and Halifax Comedy Festival. Jeff’s Comedy Now! stand-up special was broadcast on CTV in 2011. In 2015, he was nominated for ‘Best Male Stand-Up’ at the Canadian Comedy Awards and released his first solo comedy CD “Sunset Acres.”

As an actor, Jeff had a lead role in the critically acclaimed drama Dog Pound. He was also a cast member on the Comedy Network’s sketch series Hotbox and has made guest appearances on Letterkenny, Covert Affairs, The Jon Dore Television Show and Naturally Sadie. Jeff’s short film Behind the Funny has aired nationally on The Comedy Network and he is currently a writer for the CBC’s hit show Still Standing.

MC Ted Morris

A veteran of the Canadian comedy scene, Ted Morris started his comedy career while looking for a way to blow off steam during veterinary school. His most recent achievements include the release of his long-awaited debut comedy album “Dawn of the Ted” , being insulted by Simon Cowell on season 14 of “America’s Got Talent”, his 5th appearance at the Halifax Comedy Festival, 3rd appearance at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, a stand-up set and interview on Comedy Night with Rick Mercer on CBC, continuing his undefeated streak on CBC Radio’s “The Debaters”, a Gala taping at Just for Laughs Montreal which was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award and a Canadian Comedy Award nomination for Best Stand-up Comic.

He’s pretty funny.

Featuring Anjelica Scannura

Anjelica Scannura is a Toronto-based comedian, actress and producer. She did her first stand-up TV taping at the 2022 Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and has been featured on CBC’s Laugh Out Loud. She’s also performed in the Boston, Palm Springs and Burbank Comedy Festivals and did a residency at the Broadway Comedy Club in 2018 in NYC. She’s opened for Colin Mochrie, Stavros Halkias, and Joe List.

Anjelica was just a part of JFL 42 and will be performing at the Cleveland Comedy Festival 2022. She produces and hosts several stand-up shows in Toronto, and the Haymaker Comedy Festival in the heart of Prince Edward County.

She’s had roles in productions on CTV, Disney, Family Channel, APTN, and The CW. Other notable credits include TIFF’s Manson My Name is Evil, eOne’s Little Italy, CBC’s Exhibitionists and CBC’s Frankie Drake Mysteries, to name a few.

She’s a dynamic comic who can keep it corporate clean, or descend into the deepest depths of depravity (if you ask her nicely!)
